Today, Australian retail relies on a monthly metric. The ABS provides this for industry performance. Specifically, it serves as a high-level benchmark. Crucially, the number is broad and basic ($ sales movement).
Now, however, the Australian government announced changes from July 2025. Consequently, the current retail benchmark disappears.
In response, The Retail Score commits to filling part of this significant void. We offer a service that is more timely, more detailed, and more granular. This aims to provide Australia’s speciality retail industry with the best available market measurement.
Already, over 70 retail brands have successfully opted into this service. We expect many more brands will likely join us over time. Furthermore, The Retail Score commits to providing this service broadly to retailers. We offer it at a very low cost. Ultimately, we firmly believe increased retailer contribution greatly benefits the entire industry.
