Creating a Critical Benchmark for the Retail Industry

Today, the Australian retail industry relies on a monthly released high-level metric produced by the ABS to provide a benchmark on industry performance.

The number is broad and basic ($ sales movement). The Australian government has announced changes to this critical statistic from July 2025 that will see the retail benchmark as we know it today disappear.
The Retail Score is committed to filling part of the void with a more timely, detailed and granular service that will provide the speciality retail industry in Australia with the best available market measurement service available.

Over 70 retail brands have already opted in to this service and many more will be added over time.

The Retail Score is committed to providing this service to a broad base of retailers at a very low cost and we believe the more retailer contribute the better the industry will be served.
